Vlog Project: How to Become a Dog
For the vlog project, we were given a number of different options to take. I chose the "tutorial" option, and wrote a script on how to transform into a dog. The editing style I went with was using different stock images while I spoke with light elevator music in the background. This video doesn't take itself very seriously. Toward the end of the video, my dog barked while I was recording my voice. I decided to keep it in.
Marmoset Project: Portland, Oregon
This is a project in my class where we were assigned to create a "Portland Postcard" about Portland, Oregon using free legal music from the website Marmoset. This video would then be put into a contest to be chosen by Marmoset for their website. Here is mine, which I decided to use really old footage of Portland to now, showing the progression in the social and political climate.
George Willis Interview
This was an interview that I had with George Willis, who is a modeler for Laika Studios here in Hillsboro, Oregon. The interview went really well for two reasons- I knew exactly what I wanted the story of the interview to be. Because of this, I didn't cut very much in the final audio edit. This made it so that the final interview was almost exactly the same length of the taped interview, without my voice of course. The second reason was that George is a great storyteller, and he is good at building suspense and giving a satisfying conclusion to an ending in a story. These along with my good choice of music makes for a good interview that happened to turn out really well due to many conditions.
critically acclaimed JACK AND JILL: a romantic comedy of the century
Jack and Jill is a tale of a blossoming romance between two teenagers. These two fall in love during their fourth period IB Calculus HL class. We filmed this sequentially and had the limitation of no editing at all. There were a few times where we had to retake it, specifically the scene where the two are walking down the hall with the teacher and student chatting. Yes, that took longer to do than the spinning wheel scene. The members of our group are Josh, Elijah, Naomi, and Lucia.

Passion Project
For this passion project, I worked with Elijah and Sage on their documentary, writing and recording the background music. They asked me to make happy sounding music using a piano. I recorded four tracks and they ended up using one of them, because the other songs were made for different interviews that didn't make it into the final cut. The other tracks used drums and other instruments but the simple piano worked for this specific documentary.

Small World Assignment
These photos show the progression of my ability to do this project. Throughout this process I learned How to properly photo-shop the "small worlds". The first two photos are the same, but with different effects. I got the first one wrong so I re did it and that's what came out of the second photo. The third photo I learned that trees aren't your friends, so I tried to angle my camera up more (it's hard not to get trees in Portland). The fourth photo is my most successful, as I took it in the max station area where trees aren't around and the sun was up so it came out really well. If I continued doing this I would try not to get trees in the shot, or the very edge of something at the top of a photo (it creates the lines).
